hobby to jobby…

I first fell in love with video at the age of 12 when I began creating stick figure animations using Pivot. Within a year I had moved on to Adobe Flash and Adobe After Effects. At age 18 my hobby had become a full time job making social media videos for a hardware prototyping company. Shortly thereafter I packed up my things and drove cross country to pursue my career in Washington State.

5 years later I’ve worked on hundreds of videos for various brands including Amazon Publishing, T-Mobile, Bellevue Square, Pixelfire and the Haselwood Auto Group. I have a deep passion for computer animation and video production. I’m completely self taught from the ground up and work nearly daily with Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Cinema 4D, Photoshop and Illustrator.

I’m a creative thinker with an out-of-the-box attitude. I’m very familiar with project workflow and the organization that comes with fast-paced video environments. I’m an independent worker who needs minimum guidance, but I still love collaborating with my team. I can adapt and adjust to new projects quickly with a talent for capturing a companies voice.

what am I all about?

Everything I create is engrained with a distinct sense of personality. I use fluid and snappy animation to grab the viewers attention and keep them reeled in. I keep close attention to current design trends in order to ensure cutting edge productions. Being that I’m self taught my style is inherently unique and stems from a place of passion. I’ve had success in every new project I take on, whether it’s book promotions or car commercials. I have a talent for understanding and capturing a companies message right off the bat.

WHAT AM I best at?

2D/3D motion graphic design is the core of my career. I have 5 years of professional experience with After Effects and Premiere and 4 years of professional experience with Cinema 4D and Redshift. I have an inherent fascination with computer animation and a special place in my heart for these programs. Video production has always been a huge part of my job allowing me to build a large foundation of knowledge with videography, production and audio.

WHAT AM I looking for?

I want to enter my next position with the goal of longevity. I’m looking for a fresh start with a company whose message I can really get behind. I enjoy the responsibility of being independent in the workplace and forming a creative path. Although I have experience in many aspects of production, ideally my next position will be oriented towards the computer side of video.

outside of work

Outside of work I’m an avid backpacker and hiker. Pretty much anything involving the great outdoors makes my world go round. I’m slightly eccentric and super committed, always ready for new challenges.
